The Little Things Can Teach Us So Much

So much beauty often goes unnoticed
When's the last time you looked at the back/underside of a flower?

Take a moment and enjoy the above photo.

Do you notice the symmetry, the color, the shape of the flower's petals?
Do you notice the color of the stem and the delicate little hairs?
Do you notice the contrast of the colors?

When is the last time you looked closely at the often overlooked parts of you?

When's the last time you paused and noticed your breath?
Does your belly rise and fall with it?
Does your chest rise and fall with it?
Is your breath shallow or expansive?
How would you feel if you took more time to notice your breath?

When is the last time you mindfully washed your feet?
When is the last time you've marveled at your toes?
Are your feet smooth or rough?
How would your feet feel if you gave them more quality attention?
How would you feel if you gave your feet more quality attention?

How do you feel right now?
What do you notice?

When's the last time you gently, slowly touched that backs of your arms?
When is the last time you touched the back of your knees?
When is the last time you ran your hands kindly over your body?
When is the last time you explored your body without judgement?

What parts of your body feel good right now?

This is just a little reminder to pause and take note of all the good, and wondrous things that make you and your body unique. All the sensations, all the experiences, all the movements, and all the potential your body contains, and will continue to experience and create.

It important to allow yourself the opportunities to slow down and take time to enjoy the little gifts that Mother Nature has to offer.

YOU are one of the beautiful things that Mother Nature has to offer.

Do not forget how special you are.

When we take the time to explore, discover, and marvel at all the beauty that is contained in often unseen parts of us, it can be just as exciting as discovering the hidden beauty found on the underside of a flower.

Take a breath
Savor it
Rediscover a hidden part of you
Exhale
Smile
Enjoy
