Free FB LIVE Mindfulness & Meditation Sangha

Mindfulness, Meditation, Community, and Self-Care

I invite you to join me, virtually, for moments of mindfulness, meditation, community, and self-care, in my home practice space, and in my California Native Meditation Garden.

During this time of introspection, instead of working on "working," I will be focusing on staying in touch with my community.

As a per diem, independent contractor, working in the integrative health care industry, I will be out of work and without an income for the time being.

Instead of worrying, I've chosen to look at this 2 week "distancing" (no work = no income) as an opportunity to take an expensive (unplanned) "vacation" that will be worth it as long as I take the time to reach out virtually to stay connected with those who inspire me.

This is an "adventure."

Though I would have never volunteered to take this “vacation,” I intend to enjoy the journey.

I'm excited to see who shows up.

If there is enough interest, perhaps I will continue sharing these practices with the public on a daily basis.

I hope that those who find value in what I offer will show some support by sharing and letting me know.

COVID-19 Resources

Knowledge is Power

Seek Credible Information from
Resources Backed by Science

We Tend to Fear the Unknown

I am so very thankful that I work for Kaiser Permanente SCPMG, Downey Service Area. They provide us with the most up to date information to keep us informed; ensuring our health and safety, in turn, ensuring the safety of others in our communities and beyond.

Prevention is the key. Wash your hands. Eat Well. Sleep Well. Stay Hydrated. Reduce Stress. Be Mindful of your surroundings, your actions, and your interaction with others. Do no Harm. Not felling well? Stay home and get rest and treat your mind, your body, and your spirit with kindness, compassion, respect, and patience.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is one of the most credible and accessible resources to gather information about any concerns locally, nationally, and internationally.

I would highly recommend to first contact your Healthcare Provider with any questions and concerns. Your Healthcare Provider will be able to offer the most up to date information and recommendations to address your particular concerns.

The following links to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website may be of interest for those of you with concerns regarding Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

You're Breath: Your Invitation & R.S.V.P

The Party is Your Body

Your Breath is the Life of the Party

From my Personal Reflections:

Each breath, an invitation...
Each breath, a reply...
Appreciating the breath as the Invitation as well as the R.S.V.P. to movement...
Inviting yourself, welcoming yourself, to be the generous host as well as the humble guest...
The mind, the, body, the breath, the spirit, all invited to mingle and enjoy this (sometimes messy) party...
The breath, the constant companion...
The breath - the eyes, the ears, the connection to your inner wisdom...
Allow your breath to be your body’s voice...
Your body, your best friend - from the moment you took your first breath...
Listen... notice your breath, daily, with genuine interest, with compassion, with kindness, with respect, and patience...
Notice what you notice...
Respect what you hear...
Appreciate all that is you, Mind, Breath, Body, Spirit

How fortunate I am, as an IAYT-Certified Yoga Therapist, to have the opportunity to share the gifts that my mentors have shared with me for over 30 years. The gifts that I have studied and now are being recognized by research. Gifts that are tools to support others on their health and wellness journey.
Tools to be shared.
It pleases me so much to have the opportunity to share these tools in clinical settings - tools that I have been sharing in private practice for so many years.
