Create Your Own Aromatic Bundles & Sachets Workshop
Join Melissa Adylia Calasanz C-IAYT,Certified Yoga Therapist and
California Native Plants Education & Outreach Specialist, at Tree of Life Nursery for this hands-on workshop where you will create your own
Aromatic Bundle and Sachet, using Aromatic California Native Plants that are
sustainably and ethically sourced from Tree of Life Nursery.
Workshop Fee is $45
Workshop Includes
- Demonstration and personalized assistance for creating your own aromatic bundles and sachets
- Fresh and dried aromatic California Native Plant materials that are sustainably and locally sourced on the Tree of Life Nursery property, with consideration to all the critters that rely on these plants for food and shelter
- String for tying your bundles
- One organic cotton muslin drawstring bag to make your own aromatic sachet. Additional muslin bags $5 each (cash only), while supplies last
- Take home list of plants used during workshops well as other aromatic California Native plants to consider for your garden
- Information and ethics to consider when choosing, collecting, and trimming California Native Plants for crafting
What to bring
Your favorite crafting scissors, pruning shears, and tip pruners
for delicate items. A limited number of trimming tools will be available for
sharing.
Dress for the weather
The workshop will be held, rain or shine in one of our beautiful rustic
outdoor classrooms. Be prepared for the sun with hats, layers, sunglasses, and
sunscreen. In the event of rain, shelter will be provided, but be prepared to
be exposed to the elements on the way to the rustic classroom. Wear appropriate
footwear for a rustic stroll on unpaved walkways.
Optional
Garden or latex gloves for handling plant materials.
Anything to provide comfort
while seated or standing for an extended period of time.
